Players’ Podcast: FREAKline, and the Rest of the Labor Day Weekend Stakes Action

PTF and Nick Tammaro are here to try to put into context what we saw in the Pacific Classic with Flightline’s dominant Performance. Thoughts also on Olympiad’s win and why he still may have been a bad bet. Also, which Breeders’ Cup race should Life Is Good target and what on earth was Joel Rosario thinking aboard War Like Goddess? Loads of other stakes thoughts as well.

  • Nick, I drew line thru Whitney. They had a sudden downpour less than an hour before & track was “Good-sealed” and I don’t think some horses could handle it. And Olympiad did not. He was obvious Saturday.

As to AmRev you and Peter both ignored the most important thing: Saez was not riding. AmRev is a “bicycle” horse and the jockey has to pedal the whole race. No chance Rosario would ride like that. Also, look at AmRev’s poor performances outside of maiden debut. The three bad races have now been “Saez-off.” AmRev was an auto-toss for me Saturday
