TYPO Disclaimer I keep finding my self using abbreviations that I use in my Formulator Trip notes out of habit and some I fail to fix on proof reading.
Race 4 – 1 1/16th on the Tapeta, this is 2 days in a row they wrote a MSW on the Tapeta…. SMH If I was told they could not get this race to go if it was on the Turf I would be ok with that, but I doubt that is the case. I like having the Tapeta at GP but I do not like it being used as a main surface for MSW and stakes races. With that being said I have no real opinion here and will not go in depth. Top Pick will be the 8 Seldom Seen. Hopefully we do not see to many of these Tapeta MSW’s next week to wrap of the meet.
Race 7 going 1 Mile on the Dirt for 3 year old Fillies.
1 (A) Ocean Gateway ran decent on debut when she had an inside trip moving up through the turn in hand then cut the corner and stayed on same pace to wire being no match for winner in stretch, but galloped out well back inside of the winner. Of course expected to improve off of that effort. Clement is 3 for 31 in this scenario. Likely will be heavily over bet here.
2 (B) Be Here Now gets back to the dirt after trying the grass in her last and running well. In her debut at CD she had plenty of speed while in tight at the rail having her nose in front at one point, finished well and then had a nice gallop out. Back to the Dirt with Lasix and first route. I see no reason to toss in this group.
3 A J’s Memory will be a toss for me as she was in for a tag in her last and ridden hard early to keep pace then stayed on same pace on her left lead the entire stretch.
4 She’s Magic showed nothing on debut in September, barn is 9% in this scenario the last 5 years and her recent work was not much to see. But Jock did break his maiden last week for this barn at a huge price….
5 (B) Imonra will get Lasix and try the mile for the first time today. Saffie is 3 for 12 in this scenario and his go to rider is on, will include but neither sprint was very impressive.
6 Mo Town Madison
7 (A) Hollywoodland is a half to Unified and comes with a big price tag, solid debut when she finished splitting horses up for second and galloped out well. Barn is 21% in this scenario and gets Saez to ride.
8 Nothing But Pumps
9 (A) Cymbal Court I think will get overlooked, decent debut at Woodbine for a cold barn that typically runs here to get a race before shipping back to Woodbine. Lot firsts today, Lasix, Blinkers, Dirt. Feb 19th work was under strong hold and when giving some rein pulled away from mate in hand then came back to work in blinkers on March 5th and worked well again, get outside post and none of these have overly impressed me so will land here at what should be a decent price.
