Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 6 – 3 – 4 – 8
#6 Activity is a son of Into Mischief whose Dam has produced four winners from six starters; debuting for trainer Claude McGaughey. #3 Munyah is a half brother to #6 via the Sire, into Mischief. His Dam has produced two winners from two starters and will be making his first start for the barn of Brendan Walsh. #4 Here Comes Francis is the progeny of Sire Improbable and his Dam has also done well with her offspring; making his debut for the red hot barn of Victor Barboza Jr. #8 Vibe is also related to #6 and #3 via the ‘Super Studly Sire’ Into Mischief and his Dam has been successful with her young ones doing well on the track.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 4 – 1 – 7 – 2
#4 Queen of Soul showed a flash of light in her race two back and we are hoping for a repeat performance. She seems to want to run from the front and should get the opportunity with Paco Lopez in the irons. #1 Sevilla is dropping in class and gets jockey Tyler Gaffalione today. #7 Rocky Seas has been knocking on the door and gets stronger as the race goes on, I think the 7 Furlongs will do her well. #2 Classic Ballad faded last time out but that was going longer, at this level her pressing speed at a shorter distance could be dangerous.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 12- 11
#12 Vive Veuve drops in class and is a very strong contender in the race, if not for the outside post I would have made her a single. #11 New Ginya is running for strong connections and is returning to the turf, the surface she won on two races back.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 2
#2 Pleasant Embrace is the speed of the speed and we will rely on that speed to be our single in today’s sequence.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 1 – 11 – 8
#1 Relentless Raider makes his second career start today for solid connections after running just okay, morning works indicate there could be more to come. #11 Chill the J has been consistent but not great but in today’s race, his third lifetime start, second time Lasix, we will see what this Saffie Joseph owned and trained gelding is all about. #8 Fountain Run displayed new found interest when he ran on the turf for the first time, last time out. Today he is reunited with the turf and the jockey who was aboard, Luis Saez.
Today’s ticket .50 base (pre scratches) : 3,4,6,8 / 1,2,4,7 / 11,12 / 2 / 1,8,11 cost: $48
