Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 2 – 5 – 10
Are all first time starters that are well bred and running for strong connections. (#2 Harbe, #5 Crudo and #10 X Y Prime)
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 1 – 4
#1 Hurricane Nelson Has tremendous early speed and should be in good condition running second off the layoff for solid connections. #4 Raging Fury has good tactical speed and will be cutting back a furlong in distance today; workout tab shows that this gelding was 1 out of 104 recently.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 7 – 9 – 8
#7 Just a Care is coming off her best performance and it was the first for her new trainer Brian Lynch; a repeat effort puts her back in the winner’s circle. #9 Beauty of the Sea returns to turf and gets a shorter distance to run today, she has good speed and does well here at Gulfstream Park. #8 Epona’s Hope will be running second off the layoff and gets the advantage of an outside post draw; she has good early speed.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 8 – 5
#8 Tiffany Gold has the pressing tactic in her wheelhouse and should be able to come out of the turn in a great position; gets John Velazquez in the irons. #5 Streaming Now ships in from Indiana after a five month freshening, she has good early speed and has potential at a big price.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 2 – 6 – 12
#2 River of Time has hit the board in both career starts going a route distance, he possesses good tactical speed and that should be useful as he switches surfaces; keeps jockey John Velazquez. #6 Dual Income returns to the surface that he broke his maiden on two races back, that was also when he earned his best speed rating. #12 Dime Papi found trouble last time as he attempted to compete in stakes company, conversely he won after a slow start on debut. Let’s see if he can get back to the winnings ways, also gets Lasix for the first time.
