Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 9 – 8
#9 Esperon just missed last time in a similar race, gets the advantage of the outside draw and will get a rider change to Edgard Zayas. #8 Street Rod will make his second start for trainer Jeremiah O’Dwyer. He has good early speed and we will give him an extra nod due to the outside post position as well.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 3 – 5 – 9
#3 Majorca proved his stamina last time as he took the field from gate to wire almost, he lost by a neck. #5 Doroteo ships in from Fair Grounds where he has been competitive against good competition. #9 Love’m Or Liam will get blinkers for the first time after finishing 3rd in a similar race last time out.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 1 – 3 – 8 – 2 – 4 -10
#1 Voodoo Magic will be making her second U.S. start as she ships in from Santa Anita and gets Lasix for the first time. #3 Spinning Colors is returning from a three month freshening and has great stalking ability. #8 Madame Mischief has been knocking at the door and gets a rider change to Edgard Zayas. #2 Luiza Bere is making her U.S. debut for trainer Christophe Clement and gets Lasix for the first time. #4 Starship Boeing ships in from Tampa for new trainer Steven Dwoskin and her recent works have been on par. #10 She’s a Tempest is a Bill Mott trainee that will return to a route distance and attempt the turf for the first time.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 1 – 8 – 3
# 1 Tucson broke his maiden professionally last time out by pressing a hot pace then pulling away at the end, a repeat effort today could end with a similar result. #8 Junction Road is a versatile runner that returns to the All-Weather surface in hopes of returning to the winner’s circle. #3 Dear Dad always puts in an honest effort and last time out was able to get the maiden victory.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 1
#1 After Taxes is a well bred Ireland gelding that has pared up speed rating in his last two attempts, narrowly missing in each.
