Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 10 – 1 – 9- 2 – 8
#10 Love’m Or Liam showed good interest late in his debut last time out going 7 Furlongs; gets jockey Joel Rosario in the irons. #1 Grande is a well bred son of Curlin out of a War Front mare that will be making his career debut for trainer Todd Pletcher. #9 Camp Hale has shown good mid-race speed and his stamina is slowly getting better; he is getting Lasix for the first time and that could help the progression as well. #2 Wild Conqueror is a son of Authentic that will be making his debut today for trainer Brad Cox, Luis Saez gets the mount. #8 Gosger did nothing wrong in his first race last time out and was closing well, with the additional 2Furlongs in distance today, he should be a contender.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 9 – 12 – 14 – 2
# 9 Bizymaline did not have a good start in her last race but prior to that she had run much better races at higher levels. #12 Smart Spending is as consistent as they come and will be closing like an employee that worked a double shift and its 2 minutes to go. #14 Cabernet is on the AE list and if she can get in should not be left off the ticket; she like Smart Spending has the ability to close well. #2 Spider Belle is dropping in class as she ships in from Woodbine and will be running for the first time for trainer Drexler Martin; jockey Luis Saez gets the mount.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 6
# 6 Dream On will be a short price on the board and deservingly. This colt has great early speed and with the addition of Lasix for the first time, if he is able to ration that speed just a little better, he should win.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 4 – 12
#4 Secret Chat has won his last two attempts and will be running third off the layoff for strong connections. #12 Big Martini ships back to Gulfstream Park with his dangerous pressing running style that always has him in contention.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 3 – 4
#3 Nantasket Beach will be dropping in class and running second off the layoff for owner-trainer Kelly Breen. #4 Alley Oop Johnny ships in from Woodbine and will be reunited with his Gulfstream Park trainer Drexler Martin; Tyler Gaffalione will be in the saddle.
