Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 11
#11 Bold Act is a consistent as they come and all though he has not won in his last 4 attempts, I love the reliability that he brings every time; rider change to one of England’s Best, William Buick.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 3 – 10 – 1
#3 Be Your Best has won her last two races that were grade three level; she has found the distances that suit her front running and has to be considered. #10 Sacred Wish is also coming off a strong victory at Del Mar last time out and till try to get keep her winning streak alive; Johnny V retains the mount. #1 Raqiya is dangerous from the inside post because she has the speed to make the other runners go faster than they would like due to her proven speed and her desire to have the lead.
Race 11 SELECTIONS: 9 – 2 – 3
#9 Emery is a very classy filly and even though she has not run in the last three months you can be confident that her connections had this spot picked out and that she will be ready to give a good account. #2 Nic’s Style has speed on speed on speed and will attempt to get the job done by doing what she does best. #3 Sterling Silver always does her best running late and could have an opportunity for the win if this competitive group of girls get too wild.
Race 12 SELECTIONS: 5 – 7 – 4
#5 Integration ships in for Claude McGaughey after winning the grade two RedSmith at Aqueduct back in November. He is in good form replicating solid speed figures in his last two efforts. #7 Nations Pride looks to bounce back after poor showing last time out in Bahrain; he is very capable of doing so. #4 Win for the Money almost got home in last time out and just got caught; Dylan Davis maintains the mount.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 4 – 11 – 6 – 10 – 2
#4 White Abarrio has proven that he can get the job done although he came up just short last time.
#11 Locked is attempting the stretch out and by his late ability to run strong late there is very little doubt that he can do so.
#6 Stronghold is another strong closer with the potential to do more than anticipated.
#10 Skippylongstocking has taught us all to never leave him out, when you do he makes you regret it.
# 2 Saudi Crown is a confirmed front running champion that will look to go gate to wire in a very competitive edition of this year’s G1Pegasus World Cup Invitational.
