Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 13 – 7
#13 Nonconsecutivetrms get some class relief today and has shown her propensity for surface and distance. #7 Irresistible has never raced on the grass, but her sire Munning’s progeny have been proven to handle the surface, gets jockey John Velazquez in the irons.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 7 – 4- 2
#7 Swirvin is dropping in class and running 3rd off the layoff. Those factors coupled with his speed and versatility will make him a betting favorite but can’t be left off the ticket. #4 Etendre was claimed last time out and returns to the familiar barn of Herbert Miller. #2 Saybrook has found success lately going to the front, drops in class today for trainer Carlos Perez.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 6 – 3 – 1
#6 Silver Moonlight has won her last two races and retains the services of Micah Husbands. #3 Random Harvest has been away from the races for seven months and her recent workouts indicate she’s ready for the return. #1 Eternal Silence returns from a six-month layoff for trainer Miguel Clement, her class and pedigree has to be respected.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 3
#3 Maerdama drops in class and returns to the surface in distance that makes her early speed the most dangerous.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 6 – 11 – 7 – 1 – 5 – 3
#6 Eton is a versatile son of English Channel who gets red hot jockey Tyler Gafflione in the irons. #11 Jurisprudence drops in class as he ships in for trainer Chad Brown and we’ll be running 3rd off the layoff. #7 Simo has run well in different parts of his races but has yet to put it all together. Today he tries the turf and gets jockey Junior Alvarado in the saddle. # 1 Spirit of the Law Drops down to classes for trainer Michael Maker. #5 Try to Make Cents has never run on the turf but has been competitive on the all weather and his breeding suggest that the turf will not be a problem. #3 The Great Oscar returns to the turf after trying the all weather surface and having rain affect others. Last time she ran on turf she was victorious.
