Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 1 – 3- 6
#1 Nosleeptilbrooklyn returns from a three month layoff for trainer Brian Lynch. She has showed improving speed and pace figures. #3 Magical Day ran really well for the first part of her debut last time out before fading, should improve. #6 Decadent is a first time starter, daughter of Girvin, who is around 17% with his progeny first time starters.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 9 – 10 – 7 – 2 – 3
#9 Bonus Move has good early speed but not been able to finish, today he gets some class relief. #10 Tap Gold has won three of his last four race; he is three for three at the sprint distance. #7 Speed Figures is a rocket out of the gate before fading. Today his is going a half a furlong shorter. #2 Cruzin Man fits a similar profile where he has great early speed and today gets to try a shorter distance. #3 Esperon connections seem to be selective about when and where they run this colt.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 3 – 8
#3 Mohawk River ran a competitive second last time out at this level. #8 Sioux is dropping in class for a high percentage claiming trainer Jorge Delgado.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 7 – 1 – 2
#7 Sand and Sea has good early speed and she is able to sustain it successfully. #1 Maryquitecontrary has some strong graded stakes races in her recent history, and today she will be running second off the layoff for strong connections. # 2 Literate ships in from Woodbine for trainer Drexler Martin. Last time out, last November, she came from just off the pace to get the victory; Irad Ortiz will be in the irons.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 1
# 1 King d’Oro will be our single and key to getting paid today. This consistent runner just missed at this level last time out and gets leading rider Irad Ortiz in the saddle today.
