Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 2 – 8 – 7 – 5
# 2 Raghba is a homebred for Shadwell Farm LLC running for trainer Todd Pletcher; Johnny V will be in the irons. # 8 Into Royalty ran well on debut a month ago for trainer William Mott, jockey Junior Alvarado keeps the riding assignment. # 7 Madam Opus is a first time starter that is a daughter of Practical Joke whose workout tab looks impressive. # 5 Pure Beauty last raced in September as Saratoga was ending. She showed good early speed before tiring; with a little time and the addition of Lasix and blinkers, we should see a step forward.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 10 – 9 – 2
# 10 Heals the Soul won at this level last time out, his early speed gives him an advantage on the outside. # 9 Dropkick Murphy is a hard trying gelding that is always in contention. # 2 Gepard has been a popular gelding at the claim box last year, he now is making his first start for trainer Robert Mosco; Irad Ortiz retains the mount.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 1 – 5 – 3
# 1 Sol Hope is returning from a two month freshening for strong connections and is a dependable win candidate. # 5 Tiffany Gold is running third off the layoff for trainer Victor Barboza Jr.; this filly loves sprinting on the turf at Gulfstream Park. # 3 Kerry is returning from a long layoff and makes her first start for new trainer Michael Maker.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 3
# 3 Concrete Glory has earned the privilege to be our single! He has tremendous speed and gets the services of Irad Ortiz.
Race 10 SELECTIONS: 8 – 9
#8 War Officer drops in class today after a really long layoff and is now a gelding. Workout tab and a strong ownership group thinks that this is the spot for her return, LG! #9 McGinnis last race was one that you can put a line through; prior to that this well bred son of Yoshida was much better on the turf, the surface he returns to today.
