Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 5 SELECTIONS: 7 – 3
#7 Kosher Capone has been much more consistent at the longer distances and today gets another sixteenth of a mile; rider change to Dylan Davis. #3 Westside Tide overcame trouble at the start to break his maiden on the turf at a similar distance, keeps top jockey Irad Ortiz in the irons.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 1 – 5 – 3
#1 Demar’s Legacy will be making her third start of the layoff for trainer Mark Casse, she is in good form and should put out a solid effort today. #5 Breezero will make her second start for trainer Martin Drexler; Tyler Gaffalione picks up the mount. #3 Z First has been away from the races for over a year but has been training well since December.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 1 – 2 – 5
#1 Tito’s Calling is running second off the layoff for trainer Micheal De Paulo as they attempt the All-Weather and gets a rider change to Tyler Gaffalione. #2 Nineteenamendment has shown good early speed on turf and dirt but has not been able to sustain it, let’s see if the surface switch to the All-Weather makes a difference. #5 She’s Fire has faced graded stakes competition in the past and is a gate to wire threat.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 3 – 2
#3 Volatiled drops in class after hopping at the start and never having a chance; gets Lasix for the first time. #2 She’s My Lady Luck drops in class from her last start when she found trouble at the gate rushed up to take the lead before tiring; latest morning work time was quick.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 7 – 3
#7 Hot Blooded was claimed last time out and returns to the barn of Michael Maker where he was very successful. #3 Reminder returns to Gulfstream Park and the class level that he fits; trainer Jose D’Angelo retains the services of jockey Paco Lopez.
