Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 5 SELECTIONS: 9 – 3 – 2
#9 Light Forever is getting blinkers and is dropping in class as he attempts the turf for a second time; his first attempt was not horrible and he, like most of the newly turned 3 year olds, will be getting Lasix for the first time. #3 Imperatus has the breeding that suggests that he will like the grass. #2 Royces Ride also has good turf pedigree and is running for a trainer who is good with Maidens.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 9 – 1
#9 Sevilla is switching surfaces and is running for strong connections in trainer Fausto Gutierrez and jockey Irad Ortiz. #1 Blinging Burr should be able to improve off her last effort which was her first race back from a layoff.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 5 – 6 – 7
#5 Competitive Threat is a well bred Ireland bred filly trained by Chad Brown that has not been seen since July, even if this is a prep race, she could win in a group all looking to do the same. #6 Diferencia will be making her second career start for trainer Christophe Clement and could also be using this race for a prep but with trainers like Clement we know that we can see great improvement in these well bred young runners. #7 Tendresse is a homebred for Moyglare stud farm Ltd. She was unraced as a 3 year old and will make her debut today; workout tab shows consistency and an up-tick in preparation for today.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 5 – 2
#5 Dazzling Blue is the class of the field and has the proven ability to win this race, she is coming off a six month layoff. #2 Unsolved Mystery has good tactical speed and will be running second off the layoff for trainer Jorge Delgado.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 3 – 9
#3 Sugar Buzz was claimed by Gary Barber and moved to the barn of Mark Casse and gets the services of Irad Ortiz. #9 Rozagante is dropping in class for strong connections, is getting Lasix for the first time and a jockey change to Emisael Jaramillo.
