Late Pick 5
Race selections provided are in the mindset of playing the Pick 5 sequence as a whole; runners are placed in the order of most likely winner, in my humble opinion.
Race 5 SELECTIONS: 3 – 8 – 5
#3 Denver’s Alley returns to the All-Weather surface and drops in class for strong connections. #8 Supers Lucky Lady will return to a sprint distance and drop in class for trainer Robert Falcone Jr. who is strong statistically with these types of runners. #5 Princess Blakely is always in contention and should get a solid pace to press, could get up in the final strides.
Race 6 SELECTIONS: 2
#2 Neoequos has great early speed, drops in class, and gets Lasix for the first time; he gets the privilege to be our single.
Race 7 SELECTIONS: 1 – 7 – 5
#1 Fortune Seller is a son of Kitten’s Joy that is spotted well and despite his mid speed figures recently has an opportunity versus his competition. #5 Philharmonic is better than his last race and the longer distance should allow him to use his speed more judiciously. #3 Adventurous Spirit has a puncher’s chance in today’s 7th due to his ability to press the leaders regardless of the pace, if he get’s the right setup he could surprise.
Race 8 SELECTIONS: 1 – 7 – 5
#1 Three Zero will have to overcome a disadvantageous inside post position but has great early speed and should be able to clear away and hold the rail spot down the stretch. #7 Barzini is dropping in class after not fairing well in his last effort where he did not get a clean break; I will look for jockey Luis Saez to give this son of Outwork a good opportunity to win. #5 Last American Exit similarly did not do well in his last start but has many prior races that show much better ability.
Race 9 SELECTIONS: 9 – 5
#9 Creed’s Gold is making a big drop in class and coming off a long layoff, but if her workouts are an indicator she seems to be ready. #5 Hot Cargo will be making her first start for new trainer Martin Drexler, and has great early speed.
Today’s ticket .50 base (pre scratches) : 3,5,8 / 2 / 1,5,7 / 1,5,7 / 5,9 cost: $27
