ITM Telegraph — Our Feeder Is Live, and It Rides Along a $192K Carryover | Friday, July 24, 2026

Friday, July 24, 2026 · By ITM Staff

Tour Friday is here — and this week our feeder happens to ride shotgun with a $192,000 carryover. Here’s how to play both.

The Tour Feeder Is Live — Saratoga and Del Mar

Today’s In the Money HorsePlayers Tour feeder is on the board: $20, ten races, both coasts — Saratoga’s Races 7 through 10 alongside Del Mar’s Races 3 through 8. Two ways out: finish in the top 10% and you’re into tomorrow’s BCBC Qualifier with a $10,000 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge seat waiting at the end of it, or finish in the top four and you’re into the ITM Tour Playoffs, where another $10,000 seat goes to a player at no cost.

The house cut goes to Breeders’ Cup Charities, supporting the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America, and the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. Seven Fridays down, 28 of the 68 Playoff spots claimed, forty still live.

A $192,793 Carryover at Del Mar — on the Same Races

Here’s a happy accident worth knowing about. Dean Keppler flags a two-day Pick 6 carryover of $192,793 at Del Mar today, and it begins in Race 3 — which means the carryover sequence runs Races 3 through 8. Those are precisely the six Del Mar races in today’s Tour feeder. Do your homework once, and it’s working for you twice: your contest card and your Pick 6 ticket cover the same ground.

Keppler has the full eight-race card, with 5-City Exile in Race 4 his best bet — a horse taking a sizable class drop and getting back to his preferred mile and an eighth. Read the card →

Heading to Del Mar This Weekend?

If live-money contests are your game and you’ll be at the seaside oval Saturday and Sunday, the Del Mar Summer Betting Challenge runs both days with an estimated $250,000 in prizes — and it’s not just cash. Seats to the 2026 Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge and the 2027 National Horseplayers Championship are on the line too. It’s a $6,000 buy-in, on-track only, so you’ll need to be there.

PTF sat down with Dean Keppler to preview both the contest and Saturday’s Del Mar card. ▶  Watch →  |  Listen →  |  Contest details →

Tomorrow: Two Grade 1s

Saratoga. The Coaching Club American Oaks settles the argument between Kentucky Oaks winner Always A Runner and Acorn winner Counting Stars, level at a win apiece. PTF has the horse-by-horse guide for Sky Sports Racing and is swinging against both, siding with La Rascasse each-way, at approximately 5:45 p.m. ET. Read the guide →

Del Mar. The Grade 1 Bing Crosby (Race 10, 9:30 p.m. ET) is a “Win and You’re In” to the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, and it has split the ITM house three ways. PTF has the full horse-by-horse preview and sides with #3 Dr. Venkman — the logic being that a wall of speed up front should set the race up for a horse who can sit behind it, and nobody in the field loves Del Mar more: two wins, a third in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint, and his career-best figure all came over this track. Cornucopian is respected as the class and lands on most tickets. Read the preview →

Over on The Gallop Out, Ryan Anderson, Jackson Muniz, and Mikee P. build the whole late Pick 5 around it — and don’t agree either. Jackson is with PTF on Dr. Venkman, Mikee tops Cornucopian, and Ryan singles Listenupshance. When the house can’t settle on a race, that’s usually where the payoffs live. Watch →

Also Playing Today

Monmouth. A six-race Friday matinee at the Shore, first post 2:00 p.m. ET, with three on the turf and the rails all the way out at 36 feet. Eric Solomon has it, and there’s a nice thread running through the card: Jorge Vargas Jr., fresh off winning the Haskell, is back in the irons and riding with all the confidence that comes with a first Grade 1. NYRA Bets. Two more on the board at the Spa: a $40 game awarding seats into tomorrow’s seeded contest, and a $300 cash game. Tomorrow brings the big one — a $300 contest with a $2,500 seeded pool, plus an $80 feeder to the $1,000 Jim Dandy Challenge on Aug. 1. See the contests →
