Race 8: Maiden Claiming 45k, 3-6YO, 1M, Turf
| HORSE | RACE | TRIP NOTE |
| REPPAZZ | Maiden Claiming 40k, DEL, 7 1/2F, Firm Turf, 10/11/25 – 3rd | REPPAZZ broke alertly and showed good early speed; crossed to the rail entering the first bend and set a fast, uncontested pace with ~1L lead to the far turn; received pressure and came under a hand ride racing to the top maintain her diminished lead racing to the top of the lane; responded & held a 1/2L advantage into the stretch, then stuck on gamely to the wire and held the lead to the final few jumps before she was nailed. A game try that entitles her to respect today; can likely improve again if the jock allows a breather down the back stretch (which he didn’t in this race), though that might be difficult with the rail draw and other speed signed on today; has to get an extra 1/16m too; seems more an underneath type. |
| AMADEA | MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Firm Turf, 10/18/25 – 8th | AMADEA broke sharply and showed good early speed while crossing to the rail but was then shuffled back racing into the turn; entered the bend ~4L off the even pace, then was shuffled back further on the inside and dropped ~6L off the lead; came under pressure to regain lost ground but failed to respond, dropped further back and hit the top of the lane ~15L off the lead; then finished evenly and failed to improve (though did make up some ground); gallop out was then good after the wire. DID NOT HAVE A CLEAN TRIP; dropping in class second off the bench with a cleaner trip, she can improve on this effort; hard to really tell if she wants two turns yet but gallop out was encouraging. Some things to like. |
| GALATINA | Maiden Claiming 50k, BAQ, 1M, Firm Turf, 10/03/25 – 3rd | GALATINA bobbled very slightly at the break but it made little difference, she still got away well; took back off the pace, was shuffled a little entering the first turn, then settled into mid-pack/rear, ~4L off the even pace while 2W; traveled nicely in this position to the far turn, then dropped to the rial and waited in hand behind the leaders in mid-pack racing to the top of the lane; straightened for the drive still ~3-4L back, then came under a strong ride and finished willingly but could not catch the top two who were away and gone. Shuffled back slightly early and then forced to wait for room briefly on the far turn which allowed the top two finishers to get the jump on her – SLIGHT UPGRADE; faces easier today with blinkers on and pace in front of her; expect more, player. |
| HOP TO IT | Maiden Claiming 45k, LRL, 1 1/16M, Firm Turf, 10/05/25 – 2nd | ‘HTI’ took a slight bump from behind at the break but it didn’t make much difference, she still got away well and showed good speed; crossed to the rail and settled into 2nd, ~4L off the loose leader (even pace); traveled well in this position to the far turn, then tipped into the 2P and advanced under a hand ride on the bend to draw level at the top of the stretch; came under a stronger ride and forged into a clear lead racing to the 1/16 pole; was then strongly challenged and lost the lead but continued battling gamely inside regardless, finishing a neck 2nd. Good trip; result/speed fig a fair reflection of her current ability, entitling her to major respect, and she could have more to offer again in start number 4; cut back looks to suit; player. |
| KATARZYNA | Maiden Claiming 25k, LRL, 1M, Firm Turf, 10/10/25 – 4th | KATARZYNA sped to lead on the rail rounding the first turn; traveled sweetly setting an honest, uncontested pace to the far turn; began lugging out on the bend and had her lead reduced (but retained it) racing to the top of the lane; straightened for the drive still ~1L in front ~2-3W, then came under a stronger ride but could not go on, lost the lead ~1/8th pole and weakened. No real excuse. Didn’t like how she lugged out on the far turn, restricting her forward momentum (maybe the trainer will have addressed that issue today); going to need more up in class with other speed signed on. |
| CROSS OF VALOR (MTO) | MSW, LRL, 7F, Fast Dirt, 09/20/25 – 8th | ‘COV’ took a bump at the start but it didn’t make much difference; chased the hot pace from ~3-4L back between horses in the 3P racing to the turn; began dropping back and came under pressure rounding the bend but failed to respond; hit the top of the lane fully extended ~13L behind, then weakened further in the lane. MTO will naturally need a second look if this race comes off the grass; hard to take confidence in her following this uninspiring effort that lacked a visible excuse, though; needs more even on the drop and didn’t look to want two turns. |
| PHAROAH’S MARC | Maiden Claiming 45k, LRL, 1 1/16M, Firm Turf, 10/05/25 – 5th | ‘PM’ was unhurried following a clean break; settled on the rail in mid-pack entering the first turn, ~9L off the even pace; traveled well under patient handling in this position to ~1/2m pole, then tipped into the 2P and crept closer in hand; entered the far turn ~7L behind, then came under a hand ride and held this position while angling out into the clear racing to the top of the lane; straightened for the drive still ~7L back in the 5P, then came under a stronger ride and stayed on well to the wire but was never able to land a threatening blow. Good trip (wasn’t affected that much by slightly wide into the lane); a repeat effort should make her competitive again and she’s worthy of respect; others might retain more upside, though. |
| MIDNIGHT PROWLER | MSW, DEL, 1 1/16M, Yielding Turf, 09/27/25 – 5th | ‘MP’ showed decent speed from the inside gate despite taking a bump, then settled back into a tracking position on the rail, ~1.5L off the even pace; traveled powerfully (touch keen) in this position into the far turn, then was shuffled back on the rail as a rival backed up in front of her racing to the top of the lane; straightened for the drive ~5L off the lead, then came under a strong ride and finished willingly but was unable to pick up sufficiently on the soft turf. Shuffled back on far turn which cost her any winning chance; did well to finish 5th given the circumstances. Drop in class + return to firm turf + cleaner trip = improvement. Player. |
| SONG TIME | Maiden Claiming 45k, LRL, 1 1/16M, Firm Turf, 10/05/25 – 4th | ‘ST’ was eased back from between horses following a clean break; settled on the rail in rear, ~10L off the even pace; traveled well under patient handling in this position to ~1/2m pole, then advanced in hand as the field bunched approaching the far turn; entered the bend tight along the inside just 4L off the lead, then steadied back slightly ~3/8 pole; passed the 5/16 pole ~6L back, then came under a ride and advanced again while angling off the inside; straightened for the drive ~4.5L back in the 3P, then finished evenly (despite switching leads more than once) but failed to land a threatening blow. Met slight trouble on the far turn – SMALL UPGRADE. A smoother trip (and potentially a stronger pace) can help her improve as she makes just her second start routing since the spring; contender. |
| BOSSY DISH | Maiden Claiming 50k, SAR, 1M, Firm Turf, 08/24/25 – 8th | ‘BD’ stumbled quite badly out of gate 11 but still got away on terms, then worked forwards towards the outside of runners to press the pace racing into the first turn; failed to work down towards the rail and was hung 6W rounding the bend while racing keenly ~1L off the honest tempo; eventually settled down ~2L off the lead in 2nd while 2W racing down the back stretch; came under pressure to stick with the leader on the far turn but struggled to do so; turned for home ~4L off the lead, just holding 2nd, then weakened quickly in the lane. Ground lost on first turn was not enough of an excuse to explain her poor effort; she was very weak in this lane and will need more, even on the drop today; another wide post and other speed signed on don’t help her cause. Two back effort was respectable, though. |
| MAGIC MOON SPELL | Maiden Claiming 30k, CNL, 1 1/16M, Firm Turf, 09/13/25 – 3rd | ‘MMS’ was unhurried following an alert break; dropped to the rail and settled under a tight hold ~2.5L off the slow early tempo; traveled well in this position to the far turn, then waited for a run while boxed in behind under pressure foes racing to the top of the lane; came off the bend ~1.5L back, still unasked, then tipped out into the clear 2-3W, came under a strong ride and finished willingly but could not get by the leading duo. Sat close to a slow pace that held well early but then ultimately lacked the pace to get by late having been forced to wait in traffic on the home turn – she was both benefited by the slow pace and pace compromised! In all seriousness, suspect the fact she wasn’t able to build momentum on the far turn cost her this race; granted a clean trip, she can improve again in start number four today which on figs, points towards her being a live underneath contender. |
| PARAIBA BLUE | Maiden Claiming 45k, LRL, 1 1/16M, Firm Turf, 10/05/25 – 7th | ‘PB’ lacked speed from the rail draw, then took a bump ~50Y into the contest; settled on the rail in last, ~12L off the even pace rounding the first turn; remained under patient handling in this position to ~1/2m pole, then crept closer in hand as the field bunched entering the lane (but reminded in last); came under pressure on the far turn but struggled to advance with any significance, then finished evenly in the lane and never threatened. Never involved in an effort that lacked a visible excuse. Needs much more today. |
Race 9: N1X Allowance, 3YO+, 6F, Dirt
| HORSE | RACE | TRIP NOTE |
| CATTIVO RAGAZZO | Allowance, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/18/25 – 3rd | ‘CR’ chased the even pace in hand from ~6L back while in the clear ~4W racing to the far turn; made smooth headway under minimal urging while 4W on the bend to pass the ¼ pole just 3L behind in 3rd, then came under a strong ride and finished willingly but had no chance of catching the top two. Wide trip entitles his effort to a SLIGHT UPGRADE, though maybe not enough to make him a win contender today. Capable of more but probably best used underneath against this group. |
| JOLLY BY GOLLY | Starter Allowance, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/24/25 – 7th | ‘JBG’ took a bump at the start, then chased the slow pace while being squeezed along ~2-3L back in the 4P to the turn; came under a stronger ride and began dropping back in the 5P as the pace lifted on the bend; reached the top of the lane fully extended, ~12L off the lead, then weakened further in the lane. Sat a very wide trip and was pace compromised while racing off a 391-day layoff; we can expect an improved effort (maybe considerably) today, though that probably only makes him an underneath type, at best. |
| MASAYOSHI | Allowance, IND, 1 1/16M, Firm Turf, 07/04/25 – 10th | MASAYOSHI lacked speed from the inside gate and quickly dropped to rear; chased the hot pace set by the loose leader on the rail from ~20L back (field was well strung out) racing to the 1/2m pole; came under pressure racing to the far turn but failed to respond and dropped to last; remained in last, ~15L off the lead approaching the top of the lane, then failed to improve. Completely outrun from the start and never involved; hard to say he’s going to be much better sprinting on the dirt, especially off the bench. Best watched for now. |
| INTREPID’S LEGACY | Allowance, DEL, 5 1/2F, Fast Dirt, 08/30/25 – 5th | ‘IL’ was well into stride from the rail draw; chased the even pace from ~1L back racing through the opening 3/16, then tried to advance inside entering the bend but was forced to steady back slightly when it became a tight inside; dropped ~2L back and went into chase mode on the bend; responded to pressure but just remained at an even pace and straightened for the drive still ~2L back, then continued finishing evenly and failed to ever threaten. Was forced to steady and dropped back entering the bend, which, as he’s a big, one paced gelding, did not help him at all. Can improve with a more flowing, forward trip; not ruled out, especially for exotic purposes. |
| CRAB DADDY | Allowance, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/10/25 – 3rd | ‘CD’ lacked speed; chased the pace from ~7L back while being nudged along in the 3-4P to the turn; began finding his stride and steadily improved racing to the top of the lane in the 3P; straightened for the drive ~4L off the lead in the 3-4P, then rallied under a strong ride down the center but failed to ever land a threatening blow. Great trip (slightly wide but it didn’t make a tonne of difference); result/speed fig a fair reflection of his current ability; expect a similar effort today. |
| BOLD DIVERSION | MD Million Sprint S., LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/11/25 – 4th | ‘BD’ was unhurried despite breaking a beat slow; chased the even pace from ~4L back between horses in rear, 2W, to the far turn; remained in this position (though lost ground on the quickening leaders) while being nudged on racing to the top of the lane; straightened for the drive ~7L off the lead, then stayed on with credit into 4th but was never truly involved; galloped out in front. Never threatened but wasn’t disgraced either at 18/1 facing tougher rivals than today. Perfect trip; might struggle to improve on this effort but even a repeat will make him competitive back in an allowance; appreciates pace to run at. |
| FROMANOTHAMUTHA | Starter Allowance, BAQ, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/18/25 – 4th | FROMANOTHAMUTHA broke out from the outside gate, corrected, then worked forward to chase the even pace from ~1.5L back in the 3P heading into the turn; held this position while being scrubbed on to ~5/16 pole, then dropped back slightly; straightened for the drive ~2.5L off the lead 3W, then weakened in the lane despite continuing to try hard. Sat a wide trip but also benefited form being forwardly placed in a race that saw speed hold well; suspect result/speed fig is a fair reflection of his current ability; might struggle to improve further but even a repeat of this effort will make him competitive facing easier today; debuts for Ness. |
| MR. BOGAN | Starter Allowance, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/17/25 – 2nd | ‘MB’ was ridden along chasing the honest pace from ~4L back while in the clear 3-4W approaching the far turn; held this position under a hand ride to ~1/4 pole, then came under a stronger ride while angling out 4W and crept a little closer approaching the top of the lane; straightened for the drive just 1.5L back in 4th, then continued rallying and drew level for the lead ~1/16 pole but could not match strides with the 3/5 fav late and grudgingly settled for 2nd. Wide trip cost him more than the neck he was beaten – UPGRADE. Demands serious respect off this career best effort. |
| CHATAM UP | Allowance, CNL, 1M 70Y, Fast Dirt, 09/27/25 – 5th | ‘CU’ showed good gate speed, crossed to the rail and settled into 2nd rounding the first bend; tracked the honest tempo from ~1L back to ~1/2m pole, then easily advanced in hand entering the bend and drew level for the lead ~3/8 pole; received a strong challenge form the 5/2 fav shortly after, lost the lead and came under a ride; dropped back on the rail and hit the top of the lane fully extended in 4th, ~2L off the lead, then weakened late despite continuing to try hard. Sat close to a fast pace that favored closers and ultimately tired against more experienced rivals/at this level second out. Willing to forgive this effort; cut back in trip looks the right move; entitled to further natural improvement and retains upside; respected. |
| SPRING DECISION | MSW, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/18/25 – 1st | ‘SD’ broke on top from gate 2 and sped to lead on the rail through the opening 1/8th; was then taken on for the lead and dueled into the bend; lost the lead ~3/8 pole and went into chase mode after dropping back into 2nd racing to the ¼ pole; responded willingly to pressure and fought back on the rail to draw level for the lead again at the top of the lane, then kicked away through the stretch. Not sure what he beat and was able to save ground throughout (which he’s unlikely to do today); it’s still hard to dislike his attitude and the way he finished off this race; further experience can help him improve again (hold his position better through the mid-section of the race); retains upside, passed the eye test and isn’t ruled out. |
Race 10: Maiden Claiming 25k, 2YO, 5 1/2F, Turf
| HORSE | RACE | TRIP NOTE |
| PLENTY ON TAP | Maiden Claiming 45k, LRL, 5 1/2F, Fast Dirt, 09/26/25 – 8th | ‘POT’ was bumped on both sides leaving the gate and lacked speed; chased the pace under pressure from ~6L back between horses in the 3P racing to the turn; began losing ground ~3/8 pole and dropped back to pass the ¼ pole ~15L off the lead; then angled out into the 5-6P at the top of the lane and weakened further in the stretch. Was racing against the speed bias and making his debut, so is entitled to improve today as he drops in for a tag and switches to the turf; really does have to improve, though, because in spite of everything, this was still an uninspiring start to his career. Best watched. |
| PALACIOS | Maiden Claiming 25k, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/19/25 – 3rd | PALACIOS hesitated at the break and was away slowly but then quickly rushed up on the outside and settled into 2nd, ~1L off the honest pace 2W; traveled well in this position to ~7/16 pole, then advanced again and pressed the leader under a hand ride from 1/2L back racing to the ¼ pole; dropped back again slightly and came under a stronger ride approaching the top of the lane; straightened for the drive fully extended ~1L back in 2nd, then weakened to the wire after a messy lead change, despite continuing to try hard. Ran with credit. Expended a lot of energy rushing up early following a slow start; entitled to improve second out today now switched to the turf, especially if breaking sharper; cut back in trip suits; player. |
| SCAREDY CATNESS (MTO) | DEBUTANT | |
| PASS THE JUDGE | DEBUTANT | |
| GOODLUCK ROAD | MSW, LRL, 1M, Firm Turf, 10/04/25 – 7th | ‘GL’ broke quickly; sped forward to lead on the rail entering the first turn, then dropped back into a close 2nd as another rival pulled forward to take command on his outside; traveled well closely attending the hot pace to the far turn, then dropped back and came under pressure; passed the ¼ pole ~3L behind, then cut the corner into the stretch, came under a stronger ride, briefly regained some lost ground and passed the 1/8th pole just 1.5L behind but couldn’t go on after and weakened quickly late on. An improved effort in first time blinkers; could be well suited to the cut back to 5 1/2F (showed signs he’d be effective as a closing sprinter) now dropped in class; likable attitude; worth a second look. |
| PAUL’S GUITAR | MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Firm Turf, 10/17/25 – 9th | ‘PG’ broke well and showed decent speed; pressed the heated pace between horses in the 3P to the turn, then began losing position on the turn and dropped back under a ride; hit the top of the lane ~6L behind in the 3P, then weakened further on his left lead in the stretch and finished tailed off. Sat a slightly wide trip, but it made little difference to the result. Eligible to improve second out but tough to endorse with confidence following this uninspiring debut, even on the drop. |
| THIS IS THE LIFE | MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Firm Turf, 10/17/25 – 8th | ‘TITL’ broke like a rocket from gate five and quickly sped into ~1L lead on the rail; traveled well setting a hot pace to ~5/16 pole, then began lugging out and had his lead reduced; hit the top of the lane just 3/4L in front, then came under a strong ride but was running on empty; lost the lead ~1/8th pole, then weakened quickly late on. No real excuse just couldn’t carry his speed the distance. Drop in class should help; addition of blinkers a question mark (could help him carry his speed further, or he might end up going even faster and stopping quicker). Probably best watched for now and needs more, regardless. |
| MARCAN LOVE | MSW, DEL, 1M, Fast Dirt, 10/18/25 – 6th | ‘ML’ took a minor bump leaving the outside gate, wasn’t rushed and lacked speed; crossed down to the 2-3P and settled in last, ~4L off the slow pace rounding the first turn; remained under patient handling in this position to the 3/8 pole, then came under a tender hand ride but failed to respond; hit the top of the lane ~8L back in a detached last, then failed to improve. Sat last in a slowly run race on a speed favoring track which wasn’t ideal but also not enough of an excuse – he was never involved. Showed nothing to suggest he’ll be much better sprinting on the turf today; best watched. |
| POLVELLAN | Maiden Claiming 25k, DEL, 5 1/2F, Fast Dirt, 07/23/25 – 4th | POLVELLAN broke cleanly and showed good early speed; sped into a clear 2L lead on the rail heading into the turn; traveled well setting even fractions to ~1/4 pole, then had his lead reduced approaching the top of the lane and came under a ride; straightened for the drive under heavy pressure just 1/4L in front, then weakened late on , despite continuing to try hard. In first time blinkers, did too much early on and ended up paying the price late; might be able to improve if allowed to ration out his speed a little better now switched to the turf; liked his attitude. Effort followed by layoff. |
| AMERICAN BRASS | DEBUTANT | |
| FORTY SEVEN SMOKER | Maiden Claiming 16k, LRL, 5 1/2F, Fast Dirt, 10/24/25 – 6th | ‘FSS’ was ridden hard following a sharp break from the inside gate; continued to be hustled along while vying for the lead through fast fractions on the rail to ~3/8 pole; began struggling and dropped back quickly approaching the top of the stretch; straightened for the drive ~8L behind, then weakened further in the lane. No excuse. Stopped very quickly before the field had even reached halfway; hard to endorse now taking on the boys. |
| VIDA | MD MSW, LRL, 6F, Fast Dirt, 10/25/25 – 6th | VIDA broke quickly from the rail; traveled well vying for the lead through even fractions to ~3/8 pole; was gently nudged along to hold his position racing to the ¼ pole and just about did so, then dropped back slightly entering the lane; straightened for the drive ~1/2L back in 3rd, then came under a stronger ride but had little more to offer and weakened. No excuse; ran well for a long way but ultimately wasn’t good enough at this level. Drop in class and cut back to 5 1/2F should see him to much better effect (turf remains an unknown, though). Worth a second look. |
| ANDIES PISTOLERO | MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Firm Turf, 10/17/25 – 10th | ‘AP’ broke well from the rail but lacked early speed and dropped back while being scrubbed on; entered the bend ~6L behind in 7th; rode the rail in this position to the top of the lane, then came under a stronger ride but failed to respond and weakened quickly into last. Clean trip. Eligible to improve second out but tough to endorse with confidence following this uninspiring debut, even on the drop. |
| KELSEY HILL GIRL (AE) | MSW, LRL, 5 1/2F, Firm Turf, 10/10/25 – 4th | ‘KHG’ lacked speed and dropped to last early; chased the honest pace from ~9L back into the turn; came under a ride while 2-3W on the bend and crept a little closer; straightened for the drive ~6L behind in the 3P, then came under a stronger ride and stuck on gamely down the center for 5th but failed to ever land a threatening blow. Slightly wide trip but not enough to warrant an upgrade. Result/speed fig a fair reflection of her ability; expect a similar effort today, which should make her live now dropping in class; liked her attitude; should get pace to run at; worth a second look. |
Horses to Follow
R8: GALANTINA (6/1 ML)
Although yet to find the winners’ circle in six lifetime starts, GALANTINA has rounded nicely into form since switching to turf in July and, following an upgradable effort in defeat last time, could be offering decent value in today’s eighth, a $45k maiden claimer.
The 3-year-old daughter of VINO ROSSO enters off a 15/1 third-place finish in New York that earned her a 63 Beyer — a bit below what will likely be required to score this afternoon. However, she endured a tough trip that day, getting shuffled back in a scrum entering the first turn before finding herself boxed in behind horses when traveling well approaching the top of the lane. By the time she found clear sailing, the eventual top two finishers — a $290k Bill Mott trainee who wired the field, and Michelle Nevin’s PRIVATE PROPERTY, who returned to run a 76 Beyer next out — were long gone. Still, she gave a game chase into third, finishing with good energy to be beaten just 2¾ lengths in an effort that warrants an upgrade.
Now returning to what appear to be calmer waters, with plenty of pace signed on for her to run at and blinkers on for the first time, a chance can be taken on her to build on that effort and graduate from the maiden ranks at a square price for trainer Keri Brion, who found the winners’ circle with $70.60 upsetter SPORTING LADY last week.
R9: CHATHAM UP (4/1 ML)
Granted, it’s difficult to find poor stats relating to leading trainer Brittany Russell, but this one really is impressive: over the last three years, she’s struck at a whopping 39% (32-for-82; $2.86 ROI) when switching dirt horses from routes to sprints. Needless to say, CHATHAM UP will therefore demand the utmost respect when he lines up in today’s ninth, a N1X allowance going six furlongs on the main track.
Owned by the always-feared Spendthrift Farm LLC and Repole Stable, this 3-year-old gelded son of INTO MISCHIEF failed to build on his romping 5 1/4-length debut success at Colonial (82 Beyer) when facing winners for the first time at Delaware 41 days ago. However, not only was he meeting a deep field that day and conceding a ton of experience to all eight of his rivals, but he also found himself close to an honest pace that ultimately favored closers. He can be given a mulligan for that defeat.
Having shown good speed in both starts to date and drilled some sharp times in the mornings, cutting back to a sprint could be just what he’s after and see him to great effect as he makes just his third lifetime start this afternoon. If his debut speed figure is to be believed, he’s already proven he’s talented enough to beat this field, and with Sheldon Russell getting back aboard, plus a tactical outside post, he might well just bolster Brittany’s strong route-to-sprint stats.
R10: PALACIOS (9/5 ML)
If KELSEY HILL GIRL fails to draw in off the also-eligible list for today’s nightcap, by process of elimination, PALACIOS really does look the horse to beat, with few others to confidently lean on.
This gelded son of ENTICED earned the field’s co-fastest Beyer (46) on debut with a third-place finish over six furlongs on the dirt here at Laurel 19 days ago, despite expending plenty of energy rushing up to the front early after a sluggish start.
A sharper break to secure a forward position from the get-go and the natural progression expected of a second-time starter should see him build on that effort this afternoon, as should the cutback to 5 1/2 furlongs and switch to the grass, judging by his turf-heavy pedigree. Trainer John Salzman has struck at 23% with second-out juveniles over the last four years (6-for-26; $2.22 ROI), strengthening his case, and the fact that leading rider Jevian Toledo sticks aboard is no negative either.
