Nick Tammaro’s Aqueduct Analysis – Friday, March 26

AQUEDUCT – 3/26/2021

RACE 1: 2-6-1

#2 PAY GRADE gets Lasix for the first time as she returns from a brief break following a narrow miss at this level.  She towers over her rivals based on that latest outing and should be very tough to beat.

RACE 2: 4-2-3

#4 ICY DUDE can be somewhat forwardly placed early in a race nearly completely devoid of early pace.  He has largely faced better of late and has run well when fresh in the past.

RACE 3: 3-2-5-7

#3 BLOOD MOON goes 2nd off a claim by Dylan Clarke and faced much tougher in his last start.  He can be forwardly placed today and should be dangerous if ridden aggressively in the opening stages.

RACE 4: 3-5-2

The runner-up finish #3 TENDERFOOT posted last time out was quite strong, as he wound up getting stuck behind an isolated frontrunner who freaked on an easy lead.  He can stay close to the modest pace in here and he is clearly holding his form based on last Saturday’s bullet workout.

RACE 5: 4-1-7

#4 SOCIAL GROUP cuts back in distance after showing speed and fading late going 9 panels last month.  He is better suited to going a tad shorter, and new trainer Linda Rice is 38% with Aqueduct dirt starters going first off of claims ($2.30 ROI).

RACE 6: 1-3-7-5

Things should set up decently for #1 KOSCIUSCZKO in here, and he exits a solid effort when badly compromised by a wide trip.  He draws favorably on the rail in here and can sit just off the pace ready to pounce.

RACE 7: 4-5-3

#4 JOHNNY SACK is a second timer who scored handily on debut from well off a slow pace.  He faces considerably tougher in this spot, bu should get a solid pace setup and will offer some value at the windows.

RACE 8: 10-5-1-11

#10 VIVE LA LIBERTY was very wide last time out on a surface where the rail was the place to be.  She was scratched out of a similar spot in the paddock a few weeks ago and now draws an even better post position on the outside from which she can lay back and make one run.

 AQUEDUCT STATS: 204-52-34-22           $332.50
