AQUEDUCT – 1/10/2025
By Nick Tammaro @NTamm1215

RACE 1: 4-5-3-2

#4 SOLVE THE PUZZLE improved last time out when dropped in for a tag after setting a hot pace and being collared late. Look for her to try and get the lead in the opening stages today, and she still has plenty of upside.  This should be her best race to date and she represents high percentage connections.

RACE 2: 4-2-8-7

#4 DAYTONA MOONSHINE is dropping in class and should improve on the barn switch.  This stable specializes in cheaper horses and the immediate class drop should bring out his best.  The addition of lasix will help, and he showed modest improvement last time out at second asking.

RACE 3: 3-1A-2-6

#3 MY GIRL JAL drops in class and was wide last time out on a surface that strongly favored runners on the inside.  She is a late runner who’s going to need things to heat up on the front end.  The price here will be big enough for you to try her as a longshot to get a share.

RACE 4: 4-7-6-2

The one to catch here is #4 FOLLOW YOUR ARROW, a winner of two straight who should be loose in this spot once again.  She gets Manny Franco first off a claim today for a dangerous barn and should be forwardly placed.  A duplicate of her last would make her tough to beat.

RACE 5: 5-3-2-1

#5 ROYAL BOBBIE is a firster with a good pedigree, as the sire’s progeny hit at a 13% clip on debut. This gal is clearly training well and has found a great spot in which to debut.  She needn’t be much to beat the experienced runners in here, who have shown little to be impressed by thus far.

RACE 6: 4-8-1-6

#4 HOME WRECKER is a second time starter who had serious trouble on debut for trainer Rudy Rodriguez.  She took some money that day and ran in spots, putting forth a decent late bid following the sluggish beginning.  If she can get out of the gate in one piece it seems fair to expect improvement.

RACE 7: 8-6-1-4

#8 FLAT OUT FLYING is a dangerous son of Flat Out who drops in class first time for Rob Atras this afternoon.  He was up for second, a long way behind the leader last time out when facing better.  There’s no doubt he’ll need some pace to run at today and should be rolling late.

RACE 8: 8-11-3-4

#8 MAGGY’S PALACE is in good form at the moment and should be dangerous in the closing stages.  There’s more than enough speed signed on in here to set up her late bid and one of the favorites who has early zip is going to be over bet.  She should be a factor here at a price.
