AQUEDUCT ANALYSIS – 03/07/2025
RACE 1: 7-4-5-3
#7 FORGONE returns from a layoff for Chad Summers in search of a win at second asking. This colt debuted almost a year ago in a tough field and showed some early interest before fading. He now has blinkers and a cozy outside draw to stalk and pounce.
RACE 2: 2-6-1-3
#2 MASMAK is on a roll at the moment and figures to be the prime beneficiary of a solid pace in here. He has excelled as he’s gotten older in Rick Dutrow, Jr.’s barn and he was really hitting his stride late at the end of his last start.
RACE 3: 7-4-1-3
The drop should do it for #7 YO LEVEN, who also moves back out to a route of ground while in light with Chris Elliott once again. She has been better than these horses from a speed figure perspective on a consistent basis and that’s enough to make her a strong favorite.
RACE 4: 5-8-4-1
#5 APRIL ANTICS goes second off a claim and exits a strong effort last time out. She should have enough speed to be in the mix early and will be a square price in a competitive heat to kick off the Pick 5.
RACE 5: 1-7-8-5
#1A COLD AS HELL makes sense here after showing increased speed in his last two outings. He should be in the mix throughout today and gets Jose Lezcano back aboard for a start at the right class level.
RACE 6: 7-5-4-8
#7 THAT’STHEFACTJACK is interesting in that her form is largely unexposed in the N2L ranks. She was victorious two back wire-to-wire and should be forwardly placed once again for Dominick Schettino, who has quietly had an outstanding winter.
RACE 7: 6-4-2-1
The scratch of #5 SKYLANDER is a pain in the ass and makes a fun race totally uninteresting. #6 RUNNIN’ RAY is the horse to beat on the drop back to 50k as he seeks to regain his form following a dull run last time out.
RACE 8: 11-9-10-4
#11 ACTIVE DUTY goes first off a claim today by a hot barn and should fit nicely into the pace equation with a cozy outside draw and a heady pilot aboard who’ll keep him in the mix from the outset.
