AQUEDUCT ANALYSIS – 12/29/2024
RACE 1: 4-2-5
Scratches have decimated this already brief field and #4 AIN’T BROKE is now clearly the one to beat. She should have enough tactical speed to stay close and will pounce when ready as trainer Linda Rice seeks another win.
RACE 2: 7-1-5-3
#7 HUMSTINGER is the one to beat off a narrow miss on debut for trainer Melanie Giddings. He is drawn well outside and can be in the mix from the start en route to victory this afternoon. Any improvement off his debut would make him very tough to handle.
RACE 3: 5-3-2-1
#5 HIGHER FORCE drops in for a tag and should improve by virtue of that class relief. She was last seen against MSW company on the main track and sputtered in the closing stages. The blinkers going on should sharpen her up early and that will help start to finish.
RACE 4: 8-1-7-6
#8 WINE RESPONSIBLY goes 2nd off a claim and drops in class for trainer Chetram Bhigroog. He has the tactical speed to be in the mix early and gets in light with the bug boy aboard. This is an opportunity for him to upset things.
RACE 5: 1-6-7-8
#1 EARLY ON has been off since August and ran a good race when last seen at the Spa. She should improve with some time away and showed enough potential early on to be made the clear favorite today.
RACE 6: 4-2-5-8
#4 ENIGMATIC has improved of late for trainer Linda Rice and should be in position to take this field the distance. There’s little to no other speed signed up in this bunch and that puts this gal in an advantageous spot. She has improved by leaps and bounds since joining Linda Rice’s barn.
RACE 7: 4-10-8-2
#4 AWESOME NATIVE is now in the care of Antonio Arriaga, who is a dangerous and underrated conditioner. He is a late running type who’ll get some pace to run at, even with the scratches in here. Should Manny Franco position him more forwardly, though, it’ll only help.
RACE 8: 7-11-2-4
#7 LAW PROFESSOR is now an overwhelming favorite after the scratches in this affair. He’ll be in position from the start, even though there’s still some other speed signed on in here. Anything close to his best would make him very tough to handle.
RACE 9: 6-11-1A-9
#6 I’M KIDDING is interesting second time out for trainer Chris Englehart after taking some money on debut against MSW company. She should improve with a race behind her and obviously gets serious class relief. With a forward move she can factor at a price.
