AQUEDUCT ANALYSIS – 1/12/2025
RACE 1: 6-2
Somehow three scratches have occurred in the opener and #6 PROUD FOOT is the one to beat. She enters off a narrow miss against comparable and should be in position to roll clear late today.
RACE 2: 1-6-2-3
A chalky double should be capped here by #1 VEGAS WEEKEND, who is going first off a claim following a series of strong efforts. She has run well locally, has speed, and should control this thing from the outset.
RACE 3: 2-4-6-3
As much as you’d like to find an alternative to #2 KENNY BE, he is supposed to be well clear of this bunch early. This is a massive class drop off a runner-up effort in the Notebook, where he ran well to be second at 5/2.
RACE 4: 4-3-1-7
Hopefully the chalk parade ends with #4 PERSISTENT DANGER, a threat to the favorite from off the pace. He’s in good form at the moment and they’ve chosen the right class level for his bid for a second straight win.
RACE 5: 1/1A-3-2
Either half of the Linda Rice-trained entry of #1 SHE’S ALWAYS ROSIE or #1A PAM PAM can win this thing. They would each individually be huge favorites on their own and have comparable running styles. As long as they stay out of each other’s way, one will win.
RACE 6: 4-5-7
#4 GALLANT GRETA is back on dirt after two improved turf races going long. Her dirt debut was fine and showed enough for her to be given consideration today on the surface switch.
RACE 7: 7-6-8-5
#7 BROOKLYN DANTZ is a late threat for Marcelo Arenas after lagging behind early and making a late move last time out. There’s a large amount of speed signed up today and that will help this daughter of Solomini uncork a late bid.
RACE 8: 5-9-6-8
#5 EXPECTED VALUE is a late threat returning off a break for Chad Brown today. He was last seen getting up just in time to win a N1X over this oval and should be on the move again late today. The quicker they go early, the better, and this gelding has long hinted at having serious ability.
