RACE 1: 9-2-1-6
#9 WELL SUITED is a third time starter who showed some life on debut on the main track and now moves back to it for Bill Mott. This new gelding is dropping in for a tag and should fit nicely class-wise in here. The outside draw is ideal as he can break and survey the situation before pouncing late.
RACE 2: 3-7-5-8
#3 ELLIPTIC is the one to beat off a handy score against lesser for Bill Morey. This filly was beaten at this level two back with a wide trip in a slow paced race that was dominated on the front end. Things should unfold more in her favor today as she’ll be able to race more forwardly going the mile.
RACE 3: 3-2-1-8
The Pick 6 starts with a difficult starter allowance affair and #3 ALLABOUTTHEMONEY drops out of a series of salty claiming races. He’s in good form at the moment and ran his lungs out last time contesting a pace that totally fell apart before giving way late. Things should be quick on the front end in here, but he can be successful if he rates and pounces when ready.
RACE 4: 5-4-6-3
#5 STEEL LUTE leads what should be a 2 horse race for most on their Pick 6 tickets as she exits a strong effort at Gulfstream when second behind the stakes caliber Style Points. Trainer Chad Brown has a solid 26% strike rate with turf routers off 180+ day breaks ($1.75 ROI) and this filly should be ready off the bench.
RACE 5: 5-1-7-8
The two Chad Brown juvenile fillies in here loom the ones to beat and #5 GREEN JOBS will be the better price of the two. She is a well-bred daughter of Medaglia d’Oro who is the first foal to race from a dam who was a 6x turf winner. The worktab is solid and she’ll be a good price given Flavien Prat rides the rail runner from this stable.
RACE 6: 7-6-1-5
#7 GIROOVIN drops in class off a wide trip on a day when you wanted to save ground. He should fit well here, even if the drop is a tad bigger than you’d like to see. He has speed but can rate and this trainer and jockey have had significant success together at Aqueduct over the years.
RACE 7: 4-8-7-9
#4 COLLABORATION is faster than her rivals in this field as she exits consecutive turf routes where she ran very well. She is quick enough to be in the mix from the outset this afternoon and should take to sprinting quite well given that speed. Her recent form is too good to overlook and the presence of Irad Ortiz, Jr. only helps.
RACE 8: 10-6-8-3
#10 CLASSIC MARK goes first off a claim by Wayne Potts after narrowly missing last time out against similar foes. He was bested late by a rival coming from deep in the pack in the slop last time and should be in a great spot just off the pace today. The dry surface will do him no harm, and he has back form that is quite strong.
