RACE 4 SANTA ANITA
SELECTIONS: 3-6-5
The Saturday Coast-Coast Pick 5 sequence begins with a free square as #3 JOHANNES is a very likely winner of this affair. He was hurt by a brutal trip last time out at Saratoga and stands to improve here back at home over a surface where he’s a perfect 7-7.

RACE 10 GULFSTREAM PARK
SELECTIONS: 7-3-1
There’s no real reason to spend tons of money trying to beat #7 LUNI SIMA, who is dropping in class 2nd off a claim by Mark Passley. He should get a good trip stalking with the blinkers added and will be a deserving heavy favoriote.

RACE 11 GULFSTREAM PARK
SELECTIONS: 6-3-10
This is a total grab bag as a group of maiden fillies get together going a mile. #6 MISCHIEVOUS SCOUT ran twice on turf sprinting and fared fine, offering enough speed each time to make her an early threat today. There’s other speed in here and you’ll have to have a hearty set of back-ups.

Bs: 1,7
RACE 6 SANTA ANITA
SELECTIONS: 2-7-6
The only longshot opinion I have in the stakes sequence at Santa Anita is #2 BALLADEER in this spot. The speedy son of Distorted Humor is likely to get loose in the opening stages today and gets a key rider switch to Antonio Fresu. The blinkers will only sharpen him up early and that’s another strong factor.

RACE 8 SANTA ANITA
SELECTIONS: 6-4-1
The final leg looks like a wide-open event though #6 BEYOND BRILLIANT presents real value at 6-1 on the morning line. He was disadvantaged by trying to come through on the inside of the Green Flash last time out and should benefit from the extra ground and a clean outside run today.
