Oaklawn Early P5 Analysis- March 26th 2021- By Spencer Luginbuhl

Race 1
#2 Reinsure: Big Improvement off the trainer change, this four-year-old is back to running big numbers like the beginning of last year. I am usually not a fan of taking 0-10+ maidens, but in this race where I am four deep, this one is a timid top pick.

A=2-3
B=5-6

Race 2
#5 Chicory Blue: Getting back on a dry track seemed to do the trick for this nine-year-old. Now the trick will be if Broberg can have him put two good races together. I like the fact he gets an aggressive rider in Cabrera in the irons as well.

A=5-3
B=4

Race 3
#4 Lindsylu: Sire is a monster with a limited sample size first time out, hitting at 22% Asmussen and Santana hit at 22% together. They paid 17X the Sire fee for this one and have a good win early pedigree.

A=4-2

race 4
#9 This Girl Does: In the weakest race on the grounds, you have an MSW dropper which has shown good speed in the last couple of races. Santana jumps aboard, which is a good angle to play leading rider with a drop-in class. Moquett is 14% at Oaklawn over the last five years. When he adds Santana, it jumps up to 21%.

A=9

Race 5
#4 Florida Bird: Nice improvement third off the layoff and at 17-1 can be an overachiever in this race. This jockey trainer combo hits at 17% but with an excellent 2.80 ROI. She already won a state-bred allowance race and now is against the same type of field as last time.

A=4-5
