Only 7 more days of racing at Presque Isle, so let’s make the most of this Tuesday card.

RACE 1 – 1 mile, Claiming $5,000 Post Time: 3:30 p.m
Tommy Bee (#3) looks likely coming off a strong third place to Danefield and R Admiral last time out. Del Rayo (#4) was third to the #3 in his last race and should look strong in this short field.

RACE 2 – 1 mile, Claiming $8,500 Post Time: 3:57
Don’t Tell Kelly (#3) boasts the fastest recent speed figures of the bunch, and is the classiest of the class droppers in this race. I want to keep an eye on Starship Belmont (#5), who will be on the early pace and has shown consistency in placing high. Old Fashioned Girl (#1) is an interesting price and I like horses getting Taylor Kingsley for the first time.

RACE 3 – 6 ½ furlongs, Allowance Post Time: 4:24
Celestial Speed (#3) is proven against winners and has a strong resume of starts to back her up. Popcorn N Peaches (#4) was on a great trajectory until a Colonial Downs allowance try left her in the dust.

RACE 4 – 6 furlongs, Claiming $6,250 Post Time: 4:51
Lady Hamilton (#7) has a string of second-place finishes she’d like to parlay into a win. Red Hot Spark (#2) ran behind the #7 last time out and I think she shows that class again. Vanishing Wish (#4) won on the lead last time out and should be an early pacemaker in this race.

RACE 5 – 6 furlongs, Claiming $5,000 Post Time: 5:18
Straightouttadutton (#6) will make the pace and if the track is right, he won’t be caught. Gotts Got It (#5) came late to hunt down Straightouttadutton last time out, but I think he’ll be caught short today. Shannonia (#3) possibly needed a start with Rosario Montanez aboard, so it should be interesting to see if they work better in this spot.
Race 5 selections:6-5-3
RACE 6 – 6 furlongs, Claiming $13,500 Post Time: 5:45
Bindi (#1) has won her last two races at this distance and has shown versatility in both victories. Haut Les Coeurs (#5) ran second last out coming from off the pace, but the lack of pace on paper could mean Israel Rodriguez pushes her closer to the pace. Casa Juanita (#6) comes out of a tough optional claiming race and drops in class today.

RACE 7 – 1 mile 70 yards, Claiming $8,000 Post Time: 6:12
Drunkle (#1) performed admirably in a big class jump last time out, finishing 4th only a length and a half back to some tough competition. Blazing Bo (#6) has finished top-two in his last two starts but has to make the extension in distance. Ramblin Betts (#7) switches back to Gaddiel Martinez, who won back to back races on him before Israel Rodriguez took over last time out.

RACE 8 – 1 mile 70 yards, Claiming $6,250 Post Time: 6:39
Mr. Colossal (#7) makes the drop in class and got beat by some good horses last time out. Race For Cover (#5) only lost by a head last time out, and has a good record going this distance with a win and two runner-up finishes in four starts. Baytown Anubis (#4) returns to the track he broke his maiden at and I’m interested to see how he does.
