GulfStream Park Friday Feb 3rd MSW’s – Race 3 – Little Jewel and an Interesting Race 4

Race 3 MSW – 4 and up going  5F on the Turf that has a lot of unknowns so preferably I would want to spread in multi’s, but I did find one that stood out.

1 Tickle My Fancy makes debut for a barn that is 0 for 8 with 1st/MSW/Turf/Sprinters.   Pass for me.

2 (B) She’s Stormy is a full sibling to Get Smokin who has been a nice turf router.   She ran into Bubble Rock in her debut way back in Sept of 21, then a big gap until she reappeared 11 months later.   She does make it back to the races fairly quick this go round and ran well in her last.   Showing speed in that start and had a good trip, things might be tougher here with some outside speed to contend with.

3 (A) Little Jewel debuted in 2020 and did not make it back to the races until a month ago where she was very impressive sitting off the pace and came late finished strong splitting horses.  My favorite thing about this one was her try, fully extended and giving 100%.  She was not good enough in the last to get to the winner but ran by the winner in the galop out like she was tied.  Irad on today so will take money, coming from off the pace is a risky wager of course in these sprints but will be my top choice here.

4 Perfectionized is the workmate of the 5 and just looks to get a little education today.

5 Mrs Whistler makes her second start in Sweezey barn and second off bench, could move forward here but was no Match for the 2 or 3 in the last start.

6 (C) Grace Candy ran for 12,500 tag in her last and ran well, she has speed and gets on the turf for the first time today.   Doubtful to win, but if you do not believe in the 3 or 2 this one is trying something for the first time.

7 Sugar Boo is another that has not been seen in a very long time since her debut in August of 2021.  Would have to see something big in workout reports to include her.

8 Plan of the Day debuted at Indiana in June not sure how many horses Saffie sends to Indiana?   Add Blinkers here.  Could throw in strictly on the fact we have not seen enough of this one to discount her.

9 (B) Feline has plenty of experience but today is the first time she gets on the turf.   Those MOC’s on her pp’s do not make her page look appealing but she has not been in for a tag since her debut in June of last year.   Has ran well in all her starts except for the lone Route try, Jose on.   Lot of reasons to expect her to run well today.

Top Choice 3 Little Jewel     The wagering could get spread around in this one, at 2-1 or better she will be a Win Wager for me.  Although there are others in here with reasons to step up.

Race 4 – MSW – 4 and Up going 6 Dirt

1 (A) A La Carte is a 5 year old making his debut for Mott who 15% Dirt Sprinting Debut.  Dam did win her debut and was a very good sprinter.   Mott Barn is on Fire , Junior on who has been working this one.  Must include…

2 Dr Kringle for Wilkes who simply just does not win first out very often. Will be watching for this one when gets stretched out to a Route.

3 (B) Jonas Dream has only made 3 starts but is well traveled with some oddities.  Claimed out of debut when he broke slow, was a bit rank, responded nicely when asked just was green.   Then stepped up to MSW company for new barn and ran into nice group that had 3 next out winners.  Actuator who won the Indiana Derby in his next start, unfortunately the replay of that race is awful so cannot see much.   Next start dropped back to Maiden 50 and took the blinkers off.   Was claimed once again, after in my opinion running his best race to date when removing the blinkers… Now putting them back on?     Not ran since July but did ship to Del Mar and entered in 2 different Turf Route MSW races but did not run.   Now shows up here for the new barn who is 4 for 9 at the meet.  The lone workout I seen of this one was at DelMar and was nothing to write home about.

4 (A) Lakota Territory is a full Sibling to Bellafina and Diamond King.  Pletcher and Irad BOOM !!     Not so Fast.    First timer starters Dirt Sprints for barn 25% but add 4 year and older drops to 1 for 5 in the last 5 years.   Workmate ran 3rd in debut couple weeks ago.

5 (B) Citizen Mack was bought for 950,000 and 0 for 5 not showing much to get excited about.  Gets Jose in saddle today who rode this one at Saratoga.  Maybe he finds the right group today being a small field, but looks will be better going longer.

6 (C) Zakhari is a homebred out of a 5K claimer shipping in from Woodbine for a trainer I am not familiar with but follow me here…  Both starts at Woodbine were Maiden Optional and was protected in both.    They could have chose to ran on the Tapeta here at Gulfstream but go on the Dirt.   And Saez lands here, not gonna completely toss this one.

7 Ten Extra makes his second start off nearly a year layoff.  First time Dirt sprinting since his debut that was listed as sloppy, but would have to show major improvement from his 3 year old year.

Top Pick by default 4 Lakota Territory, Will be a short price and I definitely have some questions about.    Its appears Zakhari is going to be a big price, might take a small flyer on this one.  Multi race tickets is a must spread for me.
