Race 6 – Florida Bred 3 year old Fillies going 1 Mile on Turf – Rail 42 Ft
Gogomischief is 1 of 2 runners for Sweezey who is 0 for 14 in last 5 years with 1stSt/Turf/Rte/MSW. Workout Note – Jan 8th Work – Under strong hold rank early in work, settled late. After wire did not go out well pushed along to keep up with mate through turn. If was to include either of the Sweezey runners would be this one over the 2.
Greek Mojo see above. No workout information on this one.
(A) Spun Oats comes out of a debut that was washed off the grass. She was outpaced early at the rail, then came with a nice run through the turn while shifting out wide off turn, stayed on well entire lane leveling off a bit late and won the gallop out going nicely through turn. She took some money in that debut and I expect to move forward off that experience. The Jan 19th Work she is noted in report as drawing away mate etc, She was asked hard to do so.
Noble Lady was not in for tag in debut when she showed nothing running around track. Work 2-26-23 – Tapeta Easy in hand but pushed along hard on gallop out.
(A) 15-1 Cahuilla started her career on the west coast for O’Neill and ran competitively in several tough spots and her best races were the two turf route tries. Aug 20th had a bit of trouble and still finished well followed by chasing a fast pace before fading while running in a stakes as a maiden. The the Golden Gate Races mean nothing to me here. Last out for Sisterson looks awful on paper BUT was not in for a tag while making her first start for the new barn. Feb 15th – Trip – Unhurried 7/8L’s back at rail, 6 Back off turn cut corner stayed on same pace well back at wire. Galloped out quickly through the field and with winner through turn. WORKS – 1-27-23 Looked good solo , Cones out wide, Galloped out Strong – 3-2-23 Did not look as good asked a bit to keep pace with Detroit City , Gallop out was a bit dull.
(B) Our Flag Flying – I expect she will take some money here after running two solid routes here at Gulfstream. Saez sticks around. She could win here if no one steps up but the Jan 15th race with the exception of the layoff she has no excuse there. Perf trip and just failed to finish. Feb 12th race washed off the turf and she ran around tapeta same pace. Not a bad effort but nothing eye catching there.
(C) Naa Dudette ran well in both Turf efforts while not having the best of trips. She was in for a tag in both of those races but Falcone claimed her for 25K so meh. Nothing eye catching in neither of those efforts but she did close into slow paces in both.
Yamile’s was sent for lead in the Feb 12th race, over taken 1/4 pole and stopped. Gets to the grass here which could help maintain pace a bit, being lightly raced would not shock me. But no reason to back other than that.
(B) Stuck in Malibu has plenty of experience while hanging on for some money in a couple. Tried state bred stakes company last year as a Maiden and went off as the second choice. Negatives she came back this year and got Lasix on Jan 15th while trying a blinker experiment sending to lead and all but stopping. Took the blinkers back off for her last when she was not in for the tag and only carried 111lbs. Sit off the pace, made early move 3/4 Wide while 6 wide off turn, then stayed on same pace to wire. The big positive here is Irad gets on who has been putting on a clinic the entire meet, which means she will take Irad money. I have to use here
Unfortunately there is no stands out in here and certainly not a strong win bet for me. Most likely winner 3 Spun Oats but I will be watching to see what the 5 Cahuilla goes off at. If a huge price I may take a moderate swing. I like her gallop out in her last and Jan 27th work on the Turf caught my eye.
