Del Mar Race 1: 2-1-3
The #2 Opus Uno comes in from CD, makes the ultimate equipment change being
gelded and appears to be working well for this race. This is Millers other entry as he
also enters the favorite the #6 so ill take the double entry here dropping in class for him.
Del Mar Race 2: 6-8-4
The #6 Baela comes back after an impressive maiden win for Baffert, this horse seems
to be the quickest of the quick here and should improve 2 nd out. Im not always the
biggest fan of maidens facing winners for the first time but this doesn’t look like the
toughest group.
Del Mar Race 3: 8-5-4
The #8 War Swift takes a big drop in class and goes turf to dirt. Ran respectable lone
dirt event and workouts suggest he should be able to handle it. At the price, ill take my
chance compared to the rest of the field.
Del Mar Race 4: 1-7-9
The #1 has speed, draws the rail and drops back into statebred company. Last seen ran
career best 83 beyer at this level and should save the ground and outpace his rivals.
Del Mar Race 5: 2-5-9
The #1 Usha definitely makes you wonder where that last race came from as it is a
major stand out compared to her previous races. A repeat of that effort and everyone is
running for 2 nd . The #2 should sit the trip is the #1 falters. She has an excuse last race
in the G1 test and drops back down to more reasonable company and should be able to
sit just off the speed of the 1
Del Mar Race 6: 2-6-4
The #2 Radiant View goes 2 nd out for Callaghan and stretches out from a sprint to a
route. This daughter of Caravaggio should be aided by the added ground here and am
looking for improvement 2 nd out. The #6 is also a daughter of Carvaggio getting onto the
lawn for the first time.
Del Mar Race 7: 1-3-5
The #1 Sammy Davis drew well on the rail and possessed good early speed and will be
the one to catch after winning a stakes race last out.
Del Mar Race 8: 6-8-10
The #6 French Moonlight has progressive speed figures, lightly raced with room to
improve going 2 nd out for Powell. She contested a fast pace last time and there isn’t an
abundance of speed in this race so should aide her trip.
Chares Town Race 3: 2-1 7
The #2 True Indy possesses good early speed and should get the jump on the
competition here as there isn’t much other pace signed on here and has the chance to
go wire to wire
Charles Town Race 5: 7-5-8
The #7 Dublshotofcourage ran well last time despite being wide. Is drawn inside his
major competition today and should help save some ground which could make the
difference.
