Saturday, July 11, 2026 · By ITM Staff

A loaded Saturday: two graded stakes at the Spa, a four-stakes sequence at Colonial, and the Indiana Derby out west. Here’s where to play.

Saratoga Saturday: Two Graded Turf Stakes

The Spa’s 11-race Saturday card (first post 12:35 p.m. ET) carries a pair of Grade 2 turf tests. The Caress (G2) opens the graded action in Race 5 — a compact, six-horse sprint at 5½ furlongs on the inner turf for fillies and mares.

The marquee is the $250,000 Bowling Green (G2, Race 10), a marathon at a mile and three-eighths on the inner turf. It shapes up around Old Crazy Bone, who figures to roll along on an uncontested lead for trainer Mike Maker, with the European shipper Fort George and the improving Sole Valiant among those trying to reel him in. Mikee P and Nick Tammaro have the full race-by-race preview below.

The Previews Pay

In case you missed it: Matt Bernier’s top pick on Thursday’s Tour preview, Sippin Pretty, went out and upset Friday’s Victory Ride (G3) at the Spa, running down returning favorite Tommy Jo. Not a bad way to make the case for tuning in.
