RACE 2: 5-6-4-3

#5 UNLIMITEDPOTENTIAL is a threat from just off the pace after winning two of his last three for Ilkay Kantarmaci.  He’s equally effective on wet and dry racetracks and should be a deserving favorite here based on recent performances.

RACE 3: 5-4-3-7

#5 MY DEVINE ONE is bred more for dirt in the first family, but is more than capable of handling turf.  Hall of Famer Bill Mott entered this gal for turf on debut and left her in the field after the surface switch.  She should improve with experience as well.

RACE 4: 3-5-1-4

#3 ELIMINATE is interesting off the claim by Fernando Abreu.  This horse has shown serious ability in the past, and it’s likely that this new barn got him on the upswing.  He has been most effective going shorter, but the mile is well within his scope, especially from the forward position Ricardo Santana, Jr. is likely to procure this afternoon.

RACE 5: 3-2-1-7

#2 FROMANOTHAMUTHA is a re-claim by Ray Handal off a good effort last time out going 9 panels.  The move to 7 furlongs is a good thing for this son of Unified, who has been effective at various distances around one turn.  This is a particularly weak field, especially after scratches.

RACE 6: 5-3-1-7

The return to turf will bring out the best in #5 PANDEMIC HERO, who recently posted a bullet drill and now gets lasix back on the class drop.  This son of Munnings is plenty quick and should be in position to get involved from the outset.  He is quick, and that will help sprinting on the grass.

RACE 7: 7-8-1-6

#7 MELLE MEL hails from a barn that has had success at this meet, and over the last couple of years at the Spa.  She was within range of the pace last time out before losing ground then re-rallying and now gets a major upgrade at pilot.  She gets blinkers and takes a massive class drop to boot. That should lead to immediate improvement.

RACE 8: 5-3-8-1
The runners from the Suzie O’Cain will garner the most support here, even #5 BOSTON’S PHINEST.  She was within range of the pace the whole way before tiring late.  This is a good spot for her to break through given the hot pace that will enable Ricardo Santana, Jr. to take her back and make one run.  The price here should be attractive as well.

RACE 9: 5-9-1-10

#1 R P BYRNE is a half to Quattroelle, a multiple graded stakes winning turf router.  This filly has trained well of late for Wesley Ward and should have the speed to overcome the inside draw.  This super competitive race will feature a wide-open odds board, adding to this gal’s appeal.
