One Play Mike – Del Mar

Thursday Recap:
Del Mar Race 7
Joe Bravo took Rijeka (IRE) from 2nd to last to the winners circle at 3-1. The pace was set up by a valiant effort from Margot’s Boy, who took lots of action being bet down to 5-1, from a 15-1 morning line. The Del Mar turf ate up another front runner and at this point I may pick up a few mounts today for extra coin.
Rijeka paid $8 to win (ML 5-1) and is trained by Phil D’Amato.

Friday’s Play: Race 6
The Rancho Bernardo Handicap – Grade 3 – Fillies and Mares 3 YO ^ – 6 1/2 F

Field Size: 5

ML Fav: #4 Edgeway (8-5)

Mike’s Pick: Stellar Sound (2-1)

Reasoning:

The attractiveness of betting a 2-1 horse in a five horse field is comparable to how I look physically lately, very sexy.

Most bettors seem to pick on short fields, this particular G3 race of 5 though is stacked with competitiveness.

1. Scotish Star ( ARG ) (9-5)

Always play the horse, but ya it is Prat & and the #1 OG, Mr. Mandella.

Note who won Scotish Star’s last race.

2. Candura (10-1)

King Umberto aboard, interesting. Is Sadler finally winning again? I may put eyes on his entries rest of meet.

3. Stellar Sound (2-1)

My pick. Simple, popping a 92 # off bench, follow it up with a .47 and my respect for connections = $$$. + finish for 1/2 panel

4. Edgeway (8-5)

Will take additional $$$ because of the winner race last out.

 5. Proud Emma (8-1)

Has banged up and won against these before. Pace there to run at? 1/2 panels tend to crush dreams.

If a price is too short for a win bet I may fire up the Double machine or key a pick 3.

Thank you for reading and best of luck with all of your bets today!
