PARX RACING 5/8/23

PARX SPOT PLAYS

Race 3: #3 Gladiatora

  • Gladiatora is now in the Rafael Romero barn who has been running some live horses lately. This horse was running in Florida since July of 2022. She has one small late kick but she breaks pretty slow usually. This would be a cause for concern but this field is pretty rough. I think that she fits well here and this is definitely the lowest quality of competitors she has faced to date. She should be able to win here.

Race 6: #3 Jsk Lucky’s Pushpa

  • This is a very weird name for a horse but the connections today are a lot better than before. I am friends with Angel Castillo Sanchez and I think he is a talented up and coming trainer but he isn’t on Scott Lake’s level yet. The owners sent this horse to Lake after the debut was less than spectacular. Lake also had the #4 in here but scratched that one and opted to run this one instead. I like that move and I think this one is very live here on the barn change. He puts one of his go to riders on this one and that should benefit this filly as well.

Race 9: #1 Shero

  • Shero should have won last time out but the ride given by the apprentice was so bad that she could only finish 2nd. Now Shero gets Ruben Silvera aboard. I think this horse should improve 6 lengths just off the rider switch. Ruben doesn’t ride much for Everton Smith so this is a good sign. She should be the one to beat here today if she can run like last time out.
