Race 3 : #6 Alfatei

  • Alfatei looks to be coming into great form coming into this race. Last race he had a poor start and the jockey lost his irons and still almost won. I think a less troubled trip and some pace to run into today is all he needs to get back into the win column. Ruben Silvera is riding better than anyone and Pino has been having one hell of a year. Should be tough today.

Race 7: #1 Will Too Shy

  • Will Too Shy is going to be on the front end in my opinion and that might be what gets him to the wire first. Paco Lopez is one of the best front end riding jockeys in the country and if he gets this horse to the front from the rail, I think he can take this field gate to wire. Silvino Ramirez has been doing well as of late and this horse finally gets to feel the whip for the first time in his career and that should be beneficial.

Race 9: #10 Uncle Ernie

  • Uncle Ernie is in great form currently and should be on the lead early by himself. If Jorge Vargas Jr, can give a duplicate performance to the one he had on this horse last time out, then he should win going away. This field isn’t that deep and this horse is in top shape.

Race 10: #6 I Am Redeemed

  • I Am Redeemed is by far the best horse in this field in my opinion and you can toss out the PA Derby race as the connections tried to go for all the marbles instead of keeping this horse facing similar competition. Today he returns to the right level and should love the class relief. He is going against older but I think this horse can win today.
