Parx Spot Plays

Race 5: #7 Kiss Me Hardy

  • Kiss Me Hardy is in a tough maiden race here at Parx. John Servis has been pointing this horse into good spots and this one seems to be somewhat favorable too. Frankie Pennington stays aboard and this filly has come up short the last two starts with a 2nd and 3rd. I think this one wants two turns and she showed that last time out at 7F. Added distance and still at this level are both positives to me and I think today is the day she wins.

Race 6: #7 Luna T

  • Luna T was a spot play before and she is coming off a nice win for Scott Lake. She is facing winners for the first time but Scott Lake has been on a nice little hot streak lately and I like the way his horses are performing. This one could just be coming into the right form right now and if that is the case she is the one to beat here from the outside post.

Race 8: #7 Palm Island

  • This 4yo colt used to be in the Pletcher barn. Now in the DeMasi barn after being purchased by Pewter stable, he is entered into a good spot. Red hot jockey Mychel Sanchez gets the call and I think this horse might be the real deal when it comes to this level and this field. The distance should be fine but he should win off class alone.
