NBC’s Randy Moss and Hall of Famer Jerry Bailey joined PTF in Lexington for their 2026 Breeders’ Cup best bets. Here’s who they like, with each horse’s morning line from the draw and a link to that race’s Narrative Past Performances page.

Randy Moss’s best bets

Comanche Brave, Turf Sprint (3/1). Moss thinks Bacio (5/2) is “a vulnerable favorite” with so much early speed in the race, and sees the European closer Comanche Brave in a perfect spot to pick up the pieces. Bailey agreed, calling Comanche Brave tactical enough to sit within striking range.

Bay City Roller, Turf (5/1). Moss expects a lack of early speed and thinks George Scott’s runner, second in the Arc and third behind Ombudsman in the Champion Stakes, could even set the pace. He gives him a slight edge over Diamond Necklace (3/1) at a better price.

Jerry Bailey’s best bets

Harper’s Corner, Juvenile Turf Sprint (8/1). Bailey’s longshot. Brickyard Belle (3/1) ran her down late at six furlongs, but at five and a half he thinks Harper’s Corner gets away on the lead and lasts. Moss agreed with the call.

Fully Subscribed, Distaff (8/5). Bailey is against Nitrogen (6/5). He says she has done her best running on the lead this year, and with Super Corredora and Splendora drawn outside her, she’ll either face early pressure or have to come from off the pace. Moss made a similar point, noting that Mark Casse acknowledged she’s better on the lead.

The Classic

They split on the top two. Bailey gives the edge to Forever Young (2/1), Moss to Sovereignty (5/2), and both expect a contested pace with Magnitude, Knightsbridge and Napoleon Solo up front. Moss also likes The Puma (10/1) at a price. On Golden Tempo, Bailey said “he would have to run five to six lengths faster than he ever has before to win,” though Moss thought he could still get a piece: “That might be your trifecta right there.”

Watch them on NBC: Bailey said the coverage starts at 1 p.m. ET each day, on USA and Peacock on Friday, and on USA, then NBC from 3:30 p.m. ET, on Saturday.
